... registered back in Feb '10, but figured I'd say hi now that I've checked out the website over the last few days... is it just me though or is this place a ghost town? I hear more crickets than posts... what happened? Is everyone hanging out elsewhere?

I for one, would love to get input from people in LE, public service, NRA, or at least more people with good knowledge about gun laws, how they're enforced, etc. Not that the info here is not good, it's quality but lacking in quantity! Most of the answers I've received have been helpful to say the least but it's like a ghost town of the Old West.... wahh wah wahhhhh... wah wha whaaaaahhhhh! LOL! You're right though. (I realized after submitting this response how the typed "music" probably looks... but it's not what it first appears to be... it actually IS a sad attempt at text music, if that's possible. Older members probably remember it) Last edited by qballrail; 07-05-2012 at 06:36 PM. | |

I don't think it would take too much ... maybe just a little effort to revive the board. 11 year LEO here, and I don't pretend to know it all about gun laws, but I can certainly chime in on what I do know.

I check in a few times a day and try to comment on every thread if possible to help keep things moving. Even started a thread several days ago about the suppressor I just got in lol.

I like to add an opinion or two, but prefer not to open my mouth to something I know nothing about. Plus I feel that I'm some what of a new comer to the shooting world so I keep my mouth shut and listen A LOT. Cheers and welcome. Oh yeah the info on here is pretty darn good. I check on here at least once a day... |

I wonder if they'll be an influx of members here now that SGN is charging to post on their site. I'm a paid member there, but always looking to see what other communities are around the area.

Responses to all posts are hit n miss here... I will say though... I have been on 1911 forum and find the gun snobs more than I can stand... We all can be opinionated but it seems many over there think they are the shit and no other opinion is as valid as theirs... Pay to post.... I think not...... I have owned many guns over the last 40 years.... reloaded for 35.. not the smartest but can be helpful sometimes... Last edited by bigggbbruce; 07-07-2012 at 06:06 PM. |

I just like to bullshit with guys about shooting... occassionally give my 2 cents about what I know... AR's, training, and LE work. Hopefully, we can start getting this board going!

Charging to participate will surely reduce site traffic. A big draw to forums is their buy/sell pages, and if site traffic diminishes there will be fewer eyes on those listings. There's no incentive to play in the SGN sandbox, especially with a friendlier place like PNWguns.

I actually like this forum. People are generally nice and share good info. But no forum is worth paying for to participate. Moneys too tight to be used that way. Besides, I've never believed in paying for information. IMHO.

My job goes in waves between super busy and super boring, I am coming up on a boring portion, so I might be around a bit more. We'll see.

Hey BS, is that your pup in your profile pic? He's cool looking. Love when they are at that stage where the ears are tweaked. :)
