Hello,

I have been living in the Philippines for the past 25 years and 'hopefully' will move next year to the NW Seattle area.

I'm retired NAVY, will be close to 70 y/o upon arrival and can't wait to be able to buy, obtain a CHL and go shoot often. Here I can shoot at a range but it is nothing like you have there. NO, can't own and especially carry a gun. Wife could but she is scared.

We are researching the cities of; Lynnwood, Everett, Marysville, Bothell and would sure appreciate any info anyone would like to share. Very interested in shooting ranges and LGS in the area.

Hey Joe,
Great to hear about the move.

There are several shooting ranges in the area. I'm sure other guys will chime in.
Most near the city are indoor only.

If your moving to lynnwood, bothel then Kenmore Range is the biggest and has the most variety. (pistol indoor and outdoor, rifle out to 300 yrds, large illuminated skeet range which runs till 9-10pm, and an archery range)
They have heard a few stories about them not being super friendly.. but i'm sure if you meet a few guys from there and get to know them it will be just fine.

West coast armory has 3 pretty big stores.. with indoor ranges. They also have several competitive shooting classes/groups They do some law enforcement training as well.. you can train right along with them if you join at that level.

sunofnun, thanks for the fast reply and it was sure helpful. Copied the info and placed it in my "Gun" folder for Seattle.

I can't wait to move, don't get me wrong love the Philippines but want kids to have a better chance at a career. They have both have earned their BS in Pharmacy. Then, the wife has two sisters in BC. I know I'm going to enjoy the PNW and I believe NW Seattle especially.

Again, good info and I will put it to use.

Well.. your going to miss the weather, but pharma careers are abundant up here!

BC is a 3-4 hour drive from seattle depending on traffic. Or you can take a ferry, which is lots of fun and really beautiful.

I do believe I will miss the PI weather, but "If Mama ain't happy .... ain't nobody happy" and at this point in my life it really doesn't matter. Having said that I'm happy with going to Seattle and the fact that pharma careers are abundant makes me very happy.

Also, don't forget I want to CC and shoot as much as our budget can handle.

Hope to meet ya sometime.
