Plastic matches the SS better but its plastic

Black doesnt match the SS as well but its metal and this is what has been done to it
The Hornet Trigger Guard Assembly includes these special replacement parts:

* Hand polished and honed Hammer for a light, smooth, trigger release
* Lightweight Trigger Return Spring and Custom Radius Trigger Return Plunger polished for smoothness
* Hornet Custom Sear and Disconnector honed for minimal positive engagement consistent with safety.
* Automatic Bolt Release eliminating two-hand operation - just pull back and release
* New Hornet Custom Extended Magazine Release - push forward and the magazine easily drops away - no more convoluted pinching to operate the release.
* All parts are fitted, lubricated, and tested.

Select "B2-C" option below for the cast aluminum housing instead of polymer.
Recommended, but not required. Limited availability.

Im so confused, is it a pistol? is it a rifle? ahhhh

Looks neat, look forward to the range report! I need one of those for the occasional grouse during hunting season :)

Now you need to install the bolt shock buffer. GREATLY reduces recoil and eliminates the metal on metal contact.

The metal bar here (circled) is what gets replaced:

This is what it gets replaced with:

Just tap the metal one out and push the synthetic one in. It's that simple.

If you want the one in the picture above (it's what I put in my 10/22), it's $6 and can be obtained here: HawkTech Arms (They're a small company in Idaho.)

Did you ever get the recoil buffer bar installed?

I noticed in the other thread that you changed out the bolt and a few other things.

How does it all feel? Were the modification worth the money spent?

drastic change no change yes worth 11 bucks yea (for the set of 3)

ive got one to give to anyone who needs it

And yes i think the extra money ive spent modifying that gun is worth it because it makes me happy :mfclap:

On my charger I swapped my *metal* painted trigger housing for an old anodized one because I didn't realize that the original one was metal. I polished the hammer and sear with my dremel and flitz metal polish, turned the plunger and spring around (plunger is in the hole and the spring is touching the trigger) and installed a 10" bull barrel from Hi-desertdog, AIM 2-7x32mm LER scope, Blackhawk Axiom stock and it outshoots my 10/22 rifle that has an 18" bull barrel and dressed in the Nordic Arms AR22 kit with A2 stock, rifle length full-float quadrail, 6-18x40mm scope and Harris bipod.

I can't post any pics of my Charger as I am stuck on the ship (deployed in support of Operation Unified Response Haiti) and our internet connection is slow and can't get to photobucket. So, the pics are here:

Very Cool Charger you gots there Mr Thantos

And thank you for your service[/QUOTE]

Thanks. I certainly enjoy shooting my Charger and I can't leave anything well enough alone! I am probably going to get a trigger job on my GSG-5 when I get back home again. I appreciate that you posted pics here (but I can't see them as Photobucket is blocked-I only get the red X's!) for everyone to see.
