Now you need to install the bolt shock buffer. GREATLY reduces recoil and eliminates the metal on metal contact. The metal bar here (circled) is what gets replaced: ![]() This is what it gets replaced with: ![]() Just tap the metal one out and push the synthetic one in. It's that simple. If you want the one in the picture above (it's what I put in my 10/22), it's $6 and can be obtained here: HawkTech Arms (They're a small company in Idaho.) |

On my charger I swapped my *metal* painted trigger housing for an old anodized one because I didn't realize that the original one was metal. I polished the hammer and sear with my dremel and flitz metal polish, turned the plunger and spring around (plunger is in the hole and the spring is touching the trigger) and installed a 10" bull barrel from Hi-desertdog, AIM 2-7x32mm LER scope, Blackhawk Axiom stock and it outshoots my 10/22 rifle that has an 18" bull barrel and dressed in the Nordic Arms AR22 kit with A2 stock, rifle length full-float quadrail, 6-18x40mm scope and Harris bipod.

I can't post any pics of my Charger as I am stuck on the ship (deployed in support of Operation Unified Response Haiti) and our internet connection is slow and can't get to photobucket. So, the pics are here: s877.photobucket.com/albums/ab340/I_am_Thanatos |

Very Cool Charger you gots there Mr Thantos And thank you for your service[/QUOTE] Thanks. I certainly enjoy shooting my Charger and I can't leave anything well enough alone! I am probably going to get a trigger job on my GSG-5 when I get back home again. I appreciate that you posted pics here (but I can't see them as Photobucket is blocked-I only get the red X's!) for everyone to see. Thanatos |

I had to dremel out the magwell area on the Axiom though as my BC Steel lips 25 rd mags were binding really bad when inserting and removing them. I like the VQ stabilization module. I have had one on my 10/22 forever and it just seems to help with accuracy-every little bit helps! It was just a hair too large to clamp the barrel so I made a shim out of a piece of coke can and it works fine. As far as the trigger, I used my scale and it breaks at 26oz! My 10/22 has the VQ target hammer and that one breaks at 33oz. Of course I didn't really touch the sear on that one relying on the VQ hammer. Somehow reversing the plunger and spring dropped the trigger weight from its previous of 42oz-33oz. It's a blast to shoot just like my 10/22 but it gets boring making holes in paper. At least the local range allows rapid fire so its fun plinking as fast as I can pull the trigger.
