Sig 229 or Walther P99

Soooo may start doing some data entry stuff, and if that goes through I was going to pick up a new pistola.. Fired both the Walther P99 and Sig 229 both in .40 but can't decide which one to get, they're both in the same price range and from my experience both really good what it comes to build quality.. So just wondering if anyone had any insight.. Or should I just flip a coin.

I've shot the sig 229... nice gun, couldn't hit shit with it :) Its expensive... P99 is less expensive by a couple bills. Then there is the third option... Smith & Wesson SW99 which is essentially a P99 slightly modified (uses same mags).

Get the P99... it's what the current James Bond uses :)

They're within about $100 of each other.. Can get a P99 for 650-700 and a 229 for round about 800.. Just cant decide.. Suppose I could use that extra $100 for Trijicon Night Sights for the P99

Yea, I've been thinking, I'm either going Sig, or get a Rifle... I've wanted a Rem 700 PSS for ages, when the SPS came out I thought about it, but held off.. Granted the rifle will run me the cost of a pistol, and a good scope will cost another.. Already have 4 pistols, could use a good bolt action ranged weapon.. the Mauser 8mm and 91/30 won't do it.. More thinking and coin tossing..

Get the one for which more holsters are readily available in your area. I got rid of a SIG-Pro .40 which I loved, for this exact reason (replaced with M&P .40,love it).

Ebay and other internet sites have solved this problem within the last 15 years or so.
