Got me some new toys today.

Well, new to me anyway. They are both pretty sweet guns. I can't wait to shoot em.

The USP .40 has been my primary handgun for years now. So smooth! Excellent choice

Some day I will get the suppressor for it. For now, I think I will order up a muzzle brake for it. Gotta put the threaded barrel to some kind of use.

Bought em. Traded actually. Gave a GSG-5 for the Ruger and a Sig 229 for the USP.

Update on the HK

Took the HK to the range this evening. Damn what a nice gun to shoot. The trigger in single action is like butter. This is my first HK and I gotta say I am impressed. I also took the Mark II with me and am sorry to say that I have no idea whatsoever how nice it is to shoot because I left the mags at home!

All I know about the HKs I learned from Call of Duty... and my vast experience is you better get a head shot for a guaranteed kill!

You're going to love the MKII. They are so fun, and so cheap to shoot it should be illegal. Wonderfully accurate. I finally took the optics off mine because it wasn't a challenge at the ranges I shoot! It just wasn't fair. The MKIII brought some, let's say, Lawyer inspired changes that didn't make it a better gun.

Field stripping the Ruger is not as bad as folks say. Just remember it's all about the Hammer, flat to take the bolt off, forward to put the mainspring unit back in, and Keep the trigger pulled, when levering the spring. It might not make sense as I've written it here, but when you're reassembling it, it will.

I took the Ruger out last Friday and got the scope all dialed in. It is a sweet shooter. I cheated on the disassembly and got it right the first attempt. I just went straight to youtube and watched a video that someone uploaded. I pretty much go straight to youtube for anything instead of the manual. It's way quicker and you can pause and rewind as much as you need too. But yes, it is an awesome gun!
