Glock 19?

Went to CascadeArms just to look around and they have NIB glock 19s for $430. Which i think is a fabulous deal. I'm looking for lighter gun to CC because my P95 is a fricking brick.

I've rented the 19 at the range and accuracy is above average from such a light gun. The only thing I thing i don't really like is the lack of an external safety.

Fellas what do you think... its a tossup between the XD, M&P and "glock perfection". I have shot all 3 of them and leaning toward the M&P for comfort. I like the features of the XDm but it is a little bit bigger and both are $100+ more than the glock.

Give me your thoughts.

XD(M) has an insane clip capacity and interchangeable palm grips.

The XD series is fantastic and is out-selling Glocks currently.

Don't have any experience with an M&P.

Glock is rock solid and has a reputation for a reason.

Good deal or not, get which ever feels the most comfortable while your shooting it. You say you have shot all of them, so you know which one fits you best. If you get the cheapest one you will be kicking yourself in the ass for not getting the one you really wanted.

I have bought & sold a Glock 21, 30, 22 & a 27 thinking I would like one of them or one would feel right & they never did. Once I got my hands on an XD it just felt right. I currently own an XD40 sub-compact & a XD45 full size & somewhere down the line I would like to add an XDm or 3!

I've had a G19 for nearly 20 years and still dig it. It's had thousands of trouble-free rounds over the years. That said, I dig my XDm a lot more. It fits my hand better, it shoots better, and holds 4 more rounds. But an XDm isn't really a fair comparison to the G19, it would be closer to a G17. The standard XD 9mm would be a better match up with a G19. I still like the ergos of the XD to the Glock, and I think the XD triggers are a little better than Glock triggers. But the Glock is still a tad smaller and lighter than an XD, so for concealed carry that might be a factor for some.

You can't go wrong with either... handle/shoot both and whichever works for you, go for it.

ah ****... had to pass on the g19. The M&P was a little bit more but fits me better... a good buy. I still want to own a glock one day.

You can't go wrong on the M&P either. I wavered on a compact .45 M&P at FedWay before ordering my XD compact. It had night sights already installed, and S&W is doing a two free magazine promo like Springfield was doing last year, so it was pretty tempting and a good deal, but in the end I went with the XD.

I love my G19 and, personally, I see the lack of manual safties a good thing for a weapon that is intended for use for carry.

I have never been a Glock fan, but I do agree about the manual safety on a carry gun. I still LOVE my SW99 carry gun and it has NO safety :)
