Not a bad price at all!

They must be stocking the bigger city stores before we see any over here, because I checked our local stores again this week & no 9mm, .40 or .223 here!

They had 3 cases of something yet unopened on the floor, so anyone local to Renton and needs what is potentially 9mm/.40/.45, go give them a look tomorrow...

At least one of the cases was 9mm. There was 5 boxes of it left when I bought all the .40.

Which means I bought 8 and someone else (or others) had purchased 15 more boxes.

That stuff flies off the shelf so damn fast...

I go to walmart to get ammo all the time, I started back when Obama got elected and the threat of a gun ban got everybody going fuckin nuts buying up guns and ammo. I have the winchester and blazer brands, good target rounds. I don't think walmart will carry ammo much longer, I was just at the Auburn walmart by the super mall and they had hardly anything, I picked up the last 2 100 rd boxes of winchester .38 special. 29.99 a box, not bad in my book.

slim pickens at all the walmarts, I buy here and there just to stock up.

I don't think it's because they'll stop carrying it... I just don't think they can keep it in stock. They really do have killer prices compared to everyone else.

Their prices went up some over the summer, but it's still $2-$3 a box cheaper than most of the local gun stores.

Walmart in Renton had plenty of 9mm last week, after not having it for a week or so before that. So it's hit and miss. They're still limiting to 6 boxes per customer. If you can find WWB 100 rounders like that .38 spcl that's not too bad. I just call once in awhile and check or if I'm right nearby I'll swing in and look.

FWIW, Walmart is the ONLY place I know of that did not jack their prices sky high during the "ZOMG Obama is coming for our guns!" hysteria, but as such they were constantly sold out until they started rationing. I still hate Walmart though and ammo is the only thing I ever buy there. When prices were normal I was willing to pay a little more at Ben's to give them the business but when they want $15 for a box of 9mm vs $9 at Walmart I suck up my pride and head to Wally World.

Yup. I found a case of the yellow box Remington 9mm mega packs there. Four boxes = 1k rounds. The sales guy was like "you can buy up to six boxes, and these are only four, so they're yours if you want them." Needless to say, I came home a happy customer.

Went out to run some errands and pick up some fishing tackle. Hit up the local (crappy) Renton Wally World. They had 5 boxes of Federal .40. Needless to say, they didn't have any when I left. :)

The Lynnwood wally world took off their ammo limits.

They had 6 of the Winchester bulk 555 count .22 boxes last Saturday. Guess who bought them all? :)

They also had 6 boxes of 9mm, but I left those on the shelf. I actually need to unload some of what I have. I apparently "overstocked" a bit. LOL.

Anyone need 1k of 9mm?

Prices went up at Wally. I think they'll continue to rise so with what I have on hand, in 20 years I should be able to sell it and pay for my kids college. Better investment than real estate or stocks right now.

What places can you get ammo other than WM or actual gun shops. I know some Big 5 stores carry it and Bi-Mart if you have one, but now that GI-Joes is gone, where else can we go?

uhh, what do you have against regular gun shops?

Adventure Sports in Lynnwood, or Wal-Mart are the only places I really buy ammo.

you could order online. cheaper than dirt, cabelas...I'm sure there are better places...

he's probably thinking gun shops are expensive than most places, but he'll learn they are relatively the same price, maybe $1.00 more, but that $1.00 is gas alone for traveling to some places.

I normally hit Adventure's or Kesselring way up north. Kesselring has some good prices for the distance.

Gun shows I've heard are the best places for some types of ammo.
