I'm a newbie. The only hand gun experiance I have ever had is a beretta 9mm i had on my hip in Iraq.

The Glock is hands down a better pistol than the Beretta you carried in 9mm (G19) or .40 (G23). By gen 3 do you mean the latest frame or the new "RTF" finish? The RTF feels very grippy in your hands, though I've heard it also grips clothing etc pretty good too, so may not be the best choice for concealed carry? YMMV though, not first hand reports. FWIW, I've had a G19 for over 20 years, it's a great pistol and has never failed to go "BANG". I'm more partial to the Springfield XD line now, but you can never go wrong with a Glock. |

3rd gen is not the RTF...that is 4th gen..3rd gen has finger grooves and rail on frame...
