10-8 sets the standard for 1911 duty and combat use. They have good info on the latest Colt. Nice thing is, it's about $300 less than a comparable kimber. Interesting that they only use MIM for three unstressed parts. I'm not a big MIM hater, but it does show added cost and quality. 10-8 Performance |

And I was gonna mention the Colt Rail Gun, but this article is about it! Had that been available when I got my SA Loaded MC Operator, I would have given it a long hard look. I'm super happy with my Operator though, it's more accurate than I can shoot and it's been 100% reliable and I've intentionally let it get filthy to see how it would run (harder to rack, but still goes bang every time). Colt has another winner with the Rail Gun. |

hey boz, just curious.. what do you carry (here, over there, in the car, out and about)? Are there several you rotate through? Different tools for different scenarios? |

I'm horrible at online gaming...."hey guys sniper over.....fuck...I'm dead" about sums it up. I carry a G22 with a surefire X300 on duty because they make me. Our backup guns need to be a .40 Glock so I have a G23 for that. Off duty I usually carry my Kimber or an SAO sig 220 carry. I don't have any issues with smaller calibers but I prefer the trigger on those two guns and slimmer grips on a single stack. If I could only have one handgun, it would be a G19.....hate the Glock but I respect it. |

Hey I haz a G19! A Gen2 model I've had for at least 20 years, and it still works great. It's kinda retired now as I've switched to XDs and 1911s, but I'll never sell the Glock, it's a keeper.
