After months of internet searching, and several trips to local ranges to test out brands and models, the CZ 75 P-01 was the one. In fact, I so like this gun, I'm keeping my eye out for another. Certainly glad I bought early last fall as they, like everything, are fetching some event adjusted pricing.

For awhile, these and the PCR models were tough to find. I'm now seeing some more hit the market, but still not in the numbers one would think. I've heard CZ makes model runs (manufacturing) then switches over to other models -- hence the flood and drain on inventory... is this common with all the firearm companies?

Trying to decide whether to pay the premium and buy now or wait for things to simmer down a bit. Any hardcore CZ fans on the forum?

Thanks

After weeks of shooting borrowed 92A1 and CZs, I ended up with a CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical, and haven't looked back. Great firearm. Not my carry weapon (that is a Springfield XD9 Subcompact carried in a Crossbreed SuperTuck deluxe in horsehide). But the CZ is definitely my bump in the night gun, and a pleasure to shoot. And as a left-hander, the ambidextrous decocker is a nice plus.

My problem is that I picked up a half dozen mags for my XD a couple of months ago, but not my CZ, and now I can't find a single mag for it. At least I had the foresight to pick up a few thousand rounds of 9MM...if only I'd done that for my AR and M1A....

I have a CZ 550 in 30-06 with the full length stock. The rifle is awesome and the workmanship excellent. I've been wanting to get a pair of -75 for my girls.
