Today I effectively traded my 2006 XD357 (sig), ammo, and holster for a NEW SPringfield XDs45 (and some money for a holster and a little ammo)

Goodbye old friend. :ciao:

yeah,
I've got a Lee Pro 1000 Progressive press setup for 45
and about 1000 or so rounds of ammo set aside

I may try and get out today and put a few mags thru it

now,
I gotta find a 7rd mag
and a good holster

I'm leaning towards the Kholster Kholster Holsters: Little Moon Holster, Infinity Tuckable Holsters
like the one I had with my XD357

and get a few rounds downrange to ensure it's gonna work (and I can make it work)

I picked up a cheap "Pocket Holster" from BlackHawk BLACKHAWK! Pocket Holster - BLACKHAWK!

and I carried it all day yesterday (none in the pipe till I get some range time)
it's light, and doesn't show thru my pocket, but I'd rather have it inside my waste band

ShelbyGuy, what are you using?

The XDs is a really nice feeling little gun. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot one yet but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

When the subject comes to holsters I always have to put in a word for Dale Fricke. The archangel is by far the fastest and most comfortable holster I've ever used. If you go for that one, I'd recommend getting it just a bit longer than necessary for the barrel...it helps stabilize the gun and actually makes it more comfortable.

The Archangel isn't tuckable is the only thing...if you want that, I'd recommend the Zack. It's not as fast, but more concealable.

Only thing is that Dale runs a small shop, so he might not have a mold for this gun yet. I had to send him my sig 938...but his turn around time is excellent, and I know I have the first one he's ever done. :)

Bladetech is also good. I don't like their stuff as well as Dales but they make a solid product for a reasonable price.
