Picked up a XD Sub Compact

I haven't shot it yet, but if it's anything like my 4" XD service model in 9MM I'm sure it will be perfect. This one is in 9mm too! After WA tax, FFL fee, shipping etc, I paid $476 out the door (new in box)

I have the .40, and it's sweet. I had the XD .40 and sold it to a friend and purchased the .40 Sub. I like how much more comfortable it is to conceal. It does have a lil more kick back, however, if you keep that in mind when you fire, it's easy to keep under control. :D

Congrats!

yes the service model is regular frame w/ 4" barrel. They also have a regular compact which is smaller frame w/ 4" or 3.5" barrel. (can't remember) My subcompact is 3" barrel with small frame

I used to, but then again I also used to carry a 1911 lol.

I have a blackhawk holster and it works both with my sub compact and service model. The subcompact is small enough, it should easily fit in my motorcycle jacket and not be terribly noticable while riding (i'm only 5'8" tall)

Just got me the XD sub compact with 13 rnd & 16 rnd mags, with hoister and mag loader for $478 otd price. Great gun. I also got the Crimson Trace laser grip with it for $249 all from Philomath Gun Shop, Philomath, Oregon. They have a great website with all their guns and prices listed online, check em out.

Gotta tell ya, I shot without the laser grip and then with it........much more accurate with the laser.....4 1/2" pattern at 25 yrds..........impressed with a only a 3" barrel..!

yeah a little tight but will break in with some use.

Put some rounds thru this sub at the gravel pit and was amazed!

I noticed this with my speed loader as well, it's a very tight fit. I had been using my XDm speed loader which fine on either XD or XDm. I may just see where it sticks and help it "break in" with a file or something.
