So I got a new Buckmark Camper, 5.5" Stainless Steel Barrel. Before I spend a bunch of cash on upgrades, What recommendations can you make? I'll give it a review when we go shoot it. My Dad just got a 22/45 so we will compare them side by side.

We took it up and got in on the tail end of a pin shoot, they let us do some target shooting, my dad, my brother in law and I all used our 9mm's. My son and my nephew, both 12, used the Buckmark and marginally outshot us. My son Having never fired the gun prior, and my nephew never had fired a real pistol in his life, the boys were very impressed with the Buckmark. It was an easy graduation from air pistols.

You gotta love that when the kids outshoot you...I don't have to worry about that yet with my son, seeing as he's 3 months old, but my baby brother did the same thing to me the first time we went out, with a 22/45 and then shot just as good as me with my XD .40 ![]() |

Every time we go to the range, this pistol is the hands down favorite, it shoots accurately and easily. We haven't compared it to the Ruger 22/45 tactical because it didn't work out of the box. I am anxious to shoot the Ruger. The Buckmark is a simpler and more solid pistol. If you are picking one or the other for plinking, I'm liking the Buckmark.
