ruining? newbs.. maybe it depends on the lube you use? I dont wipe mine down and run hundreds of rounds through my guns with no issues. Maybe they need to clean their guns. haha.

I dunno... maybe it's just me, but I've never once had factory ammo that felt you just dunked it in grease, and is sticky to the touch? And somehow I think ammo that is gummy/sticky so any dirt, dust, etc sticks to it like glue is not conducive to reliable feeding. But that's just my theory. I haven't done any scientific tests to determine how much can be on ammo before it effects feed reliability. I just don't want to find out it does right when the zombies come!!!!

I never said "ruin" or anything of the sort. I said potential feeding issues.

When you reload, do your completed rounds feel as though they were just dunked in grease, such that the brass is dulled by it and not shiny, and if you were to roll said rounds in some dirt or powder, they would be completely covered with it?

So yeah maybe it is the lube, or quantity used?

i tumble, then lube and size/deprime, then tumble again, then go thru and individually remove all media from inside the brass, and use a needle to poke any that's sticking in the flash hole, then I prime it, load it up, then throw it in the tumbler for another 10 min when I'm done.

I like to shoot good looking ammo.

your ammo is only as good as the worst component.
