Powder shortage

Is the powder and primer shortage coming to an end in Oregon yet. There are a bunch of sights that have them for sale but I would rather not pay hazmat. 2 months ago at the Portland gun show there were people charging 9$ per 100 primers and powder was double the cost

Peashooter- I am reminded of several products that have been put on a shortage list only to increase prices. Sugar and coffee were a few of the first and then we all remember gasoline lines. I can't say for sure that politics were involved but I can't say that they weren't either. I recently switched to air rifles to satisfy my range habit. Kinda like drinking decaf but it keeps me satisfied... for now.

Dunno about Portland, but Sportco in Fife has primers in stock all the time now, for $3 or so per 100. They are rationing though, so only 200 per size per customer per day.

It's all coming back, slowly but surely.

Do you still have to be a member to buy at Sportco?

No you don't, but you do get a little discount if you are.

I went by today (on the way home from picking up my brand spanking new Vaquero) and bought 200 CCI 300s and 200 CCI350s
Yes they are rationing.

dude hazmat is nothing when you buy online because the powder is so cheap I bought 8 pounds of titegroup for like 108. then add 20$ hazmat and were at 128. now go buy 8 1lb bottles at the store and you are paying 184 bucks at 23$ a pound. so hazmat is no biggee if you can buy in bulk. and they only charge it once, so if you buy 8 lbs and 5k primers.... big savings assuming you can find 5k primers :D

Look online,,,, there is no shortage

Wow somebody is making money, try Graph and Sons,,,,,,, Natchez shooters supply,,,, my favorite is Midsouth Shooters Supply,,, I had a guy at a gun show tell me Encore barrels where in short supply hehehehe

to the guy that wants 5000 primers, what are you going to sell them? I shoot a lot and only go threw around 2000 large pistol primers a year, primers do have a shelf life
