Hi everyone. This is one of me first posts since my introduction in the newbie section. Anyway, I just bought the Crimsontrace Laserguard (LG-448) for my Springfield XD-40 Subcompact. I have not had an opportunity to shoot with it yet so I can't speak to its accuracy yet. Heres what I have so far: The Good: Follows the lined on the gun extremely well. Looks really nice Laser activation button is well placed and activates instinctively with a normal grip. Easy intuitive install The Bad: The design is so new that its tough to find a holster to fit it (though CrossBreed holsters makes one) The Instructions are somewhat hard to follow (though as i mentioned, its pretty intuitive) The laser is almost too bright I thought. When sighting it in at relatively low light, the laser blinded me so i couldn't make out the iron sights. Overall: I'm happy with the design, but i need to spend some time making sure its accurately sighted in. |

I have crimson trace on a Kimber.. I first spent time with point of impact using my iron sights... once I was consistant I adjusted my laser to point of impact at 40 feet... Point of impact from iron sights and laser will intersect at the distance you preset... For me laser is for nightime and for aquiring target not bullseye shooting... But I am close enough.. Enjoy
