I'm pondering getting a new Smith and Wesson revolver and there's the issue of the internal lock. I don't want it. There's a guy at the Smith & Wesson Forum who sells a machined plug that neatly replaces the lock. What do you think? I've also heard that one can order a revolver from Smith and Wesson and specify to not include the internal lock. Is there any truth to that?
I have 2 Smiths with the Hilary hole that I'd like to plug, pm me the link to that dude if you don't mind. I kept the guts in them and ground the lug that locks the trigger so it didn't turn into a lint trap. So even though it's been disabled, it doesn't look disabled.
