Looks like a good concept. Only question I have is how well people will be able to unlock it when under the total adrenaline overload that occurs when a home invasion occurs.

As for security while away from the house, what's to keep a burglar from just prying it off the wall or whatever it's fastened to?

I prefer to keep mine handy and just secure it in the safe before leaving the house. I've raised two kids and had 5 grandkids in the house and found it better to just teach them gun safety than lock my defense weapons up while in the house.

Q/A #1 : Practice your technique, just as you would with the firearm itself, or practice home fire drills...


Q/A #2 : I suppose that a lot would depend where you install it. I suspect that many house burglaries are dash in and grab what is out in the open.

There are a myriad of what-ifs. This set-up works for me in my house. As I mentioned in my first post....YMMV...Your mileage may vary, i.e., your situation may be different.
