New shotgun owner (Mossberg 12ga). I am looking to try various loads in my new shotgun. This is currently a HD weapon. I am looking for some place local that has a good selection of various loads so I can buy a box of several different types to see what works best. Once I find a load or 2 that I like, I can stock up on them. Planning on visiting Cabela's. Any other suggestions? |

This really doesn't answer your question, but I use #4 for everything from HD to blasting Barbie dolls. And anything less than a $1.00 a shell for #00 Buckshot is a good deal. I'm new to shotguns myself, I have more fun shooting my Benelli or Mossberg pumps than any of my other weapons, including my AR's ![]() I have cases of Winchester Super-X #4 shipped to my house whenever Cabela's has an over $99.00 Free Shipping deal, like they are having RIGHT NOW! 2 cases gets you there. I am Too Lazy to drive to Lacey, I prefer to have them sent to me...I know, not everybody likes ammo shipped to their house.
