ya.. I'm skeptical...

I am all for new firearm designs.. but these little plastic shotguns seem to leave a little to be desired once they leave the 3D model phase..

See but that's what made me interested. Read the article, it says the thing weighs 8lbs and is made from a single block of aircraft aluminum.

"CSMC approached the design with the same manufacturing philosophy it uses for all its shotguns—start with a big honking piece of metal and work from there. CSMC already manufactures its own barrels, drilled, not hammer-forged, on steel bars, using custom drill bits designed to minimize chatter and deliver a smoother bore. The receiver for the DP-12 is machined from a solid block of aluminum. Overall, the gun is built like a tank."

This thing may be built sturdier than my KSG. I love my KSG, but this is interesting. Plus it's someone who makes high end doubles already? If anything, the fact that it feeds rounds straight in from the mag tubes will probably make it more reliable than a KSG could ever hope to be.

Dp-12

I like it! I've been considering a home defense shotgun and this one can hold 14 rounds plus the two in the chambers. That's tremendous firepower. I sure hate to be on the receiving end of someone who can just pull the trigger twice and get two 12 gauge rounds off, pump and you have two more. The company seems to have the very best pedigree you could have.http://pnwguns.com/images/smilies/mfclap.gif

I reached out to them and asked if they planned to distribute it elsewhere, as I like the concept but refuse to do business with CTD. They signed some agreement for them to market and distribute exclusively. Pewp.

Just got back from the range shooting my KSG. LOL - Gonna have a bruised shoulder in the morning. I love shooting this gun, but it kicks like a mule

I purchased the HI-TECH muzzle break which should alleviate some of the kick, if I can get the KSG's barrel nut removed.
