yes they have ranges up to 1000 yards.

Do want........ When I get the scope for my new rifle, I'll have to see about trying to get out there. Need to see how accurate the BDC will be with various loads. |

Long distance shooting is a lot harder than it looks. I found out that I need a lot more practice at it.

I know. My eyes suck, and most my current guns are too hard to mount optics on. Generally with open sights I can't hit much past about 3-400 yards, and only if it's big enough for me to see...

I have an AR30 in 300 Win Mag with a 32x scope on it. Its dead accurate to about 300 meters, but going out to 450+ meters I'm have difficulty getting the holdover right for milk jug sized targets.

That's why I like BDC scopes. If you know the range, they take most of the guesswork out of holdover. Still gotta sort the windage, though.
