WA State CPL Reciprocity

Just an informational post for those who want to know...

Concealed Weapon Reciprocity

Concealed Weapon Reciprocity

Washington concealed pistol licenses will be recognized in the following states, and concealed weapons licenses issued in the listed states will be recognized in Washington State, so long as the handgun is carried in accordance with Washington law.

Alaska
Arizona
Idaho
Kentucky
Indiana
Louisiana
Michigan
Mississippi
Missouri
Montana
North Carolina
Ohio
Oklahoma
South Dakota
Texas
Utah
Virgina

NOTE: Handguns must be carried in accordance with the law of the state you are visiting. Be sure to check the laws of the other state before traveling there with your handgun.

its funny that the oulying states surrounding ours dont allow concealed carry by Washington State licensed gun owners.
we should repair that soon.

We're able to carry in:

Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington

The border states would be the most likely to be travelled in while carrying, and the most logical for reciprocity.

Still, it's good that there are a bunch of states that do have reciprocity with WA and hopefully that number will continue to grow.

Source? Apparently the WA website is quite a bit outdated. I'd be happy to update the list at the top, but would prefer to review the source before making the change.

As per the information in the book: Washington State Gun Rights and Responsibilities, I have updated the original source.

This book can be obtained by sending a check or money order to the following:

D&D Enterprises
P.O. Box 1638
North Bend, WA 98045

Cost: $10.95 + $4.50 for postage/packaging.

It can also be obtained from Adventure Sports in Lynnwood, WA.
