Pics and video from IDPA at Paul Bunyan 7/30/11

It was a fun match and great weather today at the IDPA Match at Paul Bunyan in Puyallup. I think there was 56 shooters there today.

I was lucky enough to win my Division/Classification today.

Here are a couple of video clips.

It was a lot of fun!!! Really good stages too!!

Come out and try it sometime, no experience needed, just be there on time for the new shooters briefing.

Here is another video from the shooters perspective from yesterdays match.

Yeah, the POV cam is really cool. Those guys that run it just attach the cam to their hat.

I live in the Beacon Hill area of Seattle. That last match was in Puyallup, on Meridian, just past 176 St E.

There are matches all over, both at indoor and outdoor ranges. I like the outdoor matches best. I prefer shooting outdoors and the outdoor matches have more stages to shoot. But I also shoot the indoor matches too, they are still a lot of fun but you just don't get to shoot as much.

The outdoor matches I shoot at:

Oak Harbor, The North Whidbey Sportsmens Association They usually have one sometimes two matches a month. Usually have to contact them for the dates.

Renton, The Renton Fish & Game Club Every 3rd Saturday of the month.

Puyallup, Paul Bunyan Range Usually the 4th Saturday of the month.

Onalaska, The Firearms Academy of Seattle Usually the 2nd Saturday of the month.

The indoor matches I shoot at:

Arlington, The Norpoint Range The 1st Saturday of the month.

Bellevue, West Coast Armory Every Tuesday night.

I don't shoot every one each month. I usually shoot the Bellevue one every Tuesday night. I try to shoot the Renton and Puyallup matches each month too. Arlington, Oak Harbor and Onalaska are too far for me to go shoot on a regular basis but I like to go when I can.
