And Twins...

So more than a few of you have been bugging me to post up some pic of projects. Most guys are finicky about posting pictures of their guns on the internet, so I only post pics of projects if I have the owners permission. Let me know what you guys think. Always looking for input positive or negative.

These are twin Arcus 9mm pistols. The Arcus is a DA / SA clone of the venerable Browning High Power. Used in if few countries over the ocean for law enforcement issue, fairly reliable, but crappy triggers, poor finish, and sloppy fitted parts leaves loads of room for improvements.

Started with two new guns....

Complete tair down of every last piece. Ceramic coated the slides black, the frames green, and then everything else that moves got the self lubricating Microslick coating (that's the grayish colored stuff). Fitted the slides to the frames, fitted the SA trigger release to 3.5 lbs, tuned the double action trigger pull to a silky smooth 6lbs.

The finished product is two idetical twin pistols with hand fitted parts and matching tuned triggers in tacti-cool colors. Everything is better with TWINS! :)

I like the finished product, but why not start with real Browning's instead of clones?

Would have loved to have started with Browning High Powers! Currently they are a little hard to get ahold of and tend to fetch top dolloar. I go with what I am supplied, in this case it was the Arcus pistols, maybe he likes the double action, I don't know, would have been way cooler with Brownings.
