Just be there about 5:30-5:45 so you can make the New Shooters meeting. You just need a good holster, either a IWB or OWB that you can easily re-holster with, 3 mags and double mag pouch to hold them on your belt.
Match fee is $15 the next one will be next Tuesday night the 27th.
If you want to try at an outdoor range there is a match this Saturday at Paul Bunyan range in Puyallup. New Shooters meeting starts about 8am, there will be 6 stages and its usually all done by 2-3pm.

Don't see myself making it to Puyallup, but maybe they do something like this at the Kirkland outdoor range as well. I'll check with my buddy who's a member there.

The outdoor matches at Renton and Puyallup are fun because you get to shoot a lot more. But the indoor matches like at West Coast are are great for just trying it out and getting a feel for what IDPA is about.
If you want to practice more and learn about the rules and basics of IDPA before you go shoot at a match, I'm setting up an IDPA 101 class soon. It will be for people that have never shot IDPA and want to but would like a class to cover all the basics first. I'll cover drawing and shooting from the holster, shooting from cover, moving and shooting, shooting multiple targets. Will also cover rules, scoring and gear/equipment.
