Color choice was due to surrounding area. I took color options and tested them last time I was in the hills. The foliage green was the hardest to see in this area. The Coyote Tan was too bright and stood out like a sore thumb.
Price was not cheap, but I went through BDStactical. I pretty much went all out when it came to options. I have around $400 into it, but that is with pretty much everything you could add and then some.
It is all from one manufacturer since I did not want to piece it together. I'm kind of anal about color matching to an extent. I also like keeping everything under one brand due to build quality.
I was thinkin about doing a plate carrier, but liked the weight of the chest right more. There is also just personal preference. I just liked the feel and style of this rig more then doing a plate carrier. One of my buddies runs a plate carrier and I just prefered the chest rig.
Most likely I will be putting 2 more together for two of my close firends as well. If you have anymore questions shoot. I have done a TON of research into different rigs and companies.
