My friend actually went down to Olympic Arms about 3 weeks ago and ordered an AR15, they have you put a $50 deposit down on it and pay the rest when you go in to pick it up. They told him it was going to take about 6 months before it would be done, yet they called him the following week and it was ready to go. I believe it was about $750 or so after tax etc. I guess the model he ordered is what most police departments are using so Olympic Arms was turning out large quantities of them which is why it was done so quickly.

talk about BS, ive been on their waiting list since January.....

A) because they are local to me
B) because Ive walked in before and bought other firearms (x2)and thoroughly enjoyed spending $$ with them
C) because i wanted to?

they literally are 15 mins from my house, they employ 3 of my neighbors...i wont ever have a problem dealing with them.

btw~ why you ask?

figure chances are prolly isnt a huge calling for 300 oswm

Just curious I guess.

My first AR was an Oly & that damn thing was SO far pitifully out of spec. Their was no way to match any other upper to their lower or any other lower to their upper. Put a bad taste in my mouth for them.

I have had many AR's since then & never had any other parts as far off as that one was.

I've got no direct experience with OLY arms
(I do love the idea of supporting local manufacturing business)

but Ive heard lots of horror stories about there specs
and the take down pin holes tend to get egged out after use
