I live in Gig Harbor, and I am looking to find a lawyer in the area that has experience/specializes in self defense/gun rights laws. I don't need one immeidately, but when I need one, I don't want to have to call my wife and have her pick a lawyer off the internet or phone book in the middle of the night after I have to defend myself. Plus it would be nice to have some conversations with a lawyer to know what they expect/suggest for you to do in such a case, and to have them know your sittuation and who you are, and to have their number and know they will answer if you need them. Anybody in the area have one on retainer or have any suggestions? |

I don't know of any, but do you honestly think you will ever need to use your weapon? Just asking a basic question, like has your house ever been broken into, or are you saying as a just in case? The best way to do it in my opinion would be to open a phone book and start calling the lawyers and asking what they specialize in, and ask more questions until you find one your comfortable with. I also just googled "Gun Right Lawyers in pierce county" and found a few.. so google is a good tool as well. |

And yes, I had googled and found a few, but I was hoping someone might have a personal reference or experience with a good lawyer. | |

Google is about as good as a phone book. You still have to do the hard work of choosing one yourself.

Everyone that carrys should have a great Lawyer in thier back pocket, my case of self defense cost me $2500 back in the 1980s, now it would be $10,000 easy. When you talk to the police you have to say exactly the right thing because remember they arn't protecting the inocent they are building a case even against the victims. what a system!!!! Like I have said before everyone here needs to take a class,, they are called surviving the shooting before and after they really go over the all the legal stuff. remember the criminals know the system

Alright, so no specific responses. I did some more searching, is anyone a part of the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network? It seems to be a group that connects you to lawyers and provides technical type support with the potential for monetary support if you are sued in a civil suit. Does anyone know if they have a lawyer from WA? |
