Hi

I'm looking for a range in the Puget Sound area where I can tryout the following guns, all in 9mm:

Walther PPQ or PPQ M2 9mm
Kahr CM9
Kel-Tec PF-9
Taurus 1911 9mm

I haven't found a range that rents a single one of these...

Thanks.

Have you tried West Coast Armory?

I think it's unlikely you'll find the Kel-Tec or the Taurus but I'm pretty sure you can try the Walther and maybe the Kahr in Bellevue.

I think Wade's Eastside Guns in Bellevue has some if not all of those. I know they have a Kahr CM9 available to shoot, so if they have that they probably have those more common other pistols.

I looked up West Coast armory, they have the Kahr PM9 (same design, nicer parts as the CM9):

Yeah, giving them a call is probably the best idea anyway. I know they try to pick guns that, 1) they sell. And, 2) that are stout enough to deal with people abusing them day in and day out for weeks/months at a time with minimal service necessary.

There was an M&P22 I wanted to try (before I bought one) and it was out for service. I questioned if that should be a red flag and they said it had just gone out to have an extractor (or something minor) replaced. They estimated tens of thousands of rounds had been put through the gun and it had been used like that for about a year before needing service. That's a LOT of usage -- by different people.

By way of comparison, they didn't have some of the other semi-auto 22s that they sell in their pro-shop, for rent in the range. They couldn't hold up to that kind of use/abuse.

If you wanted to come up North, I'd let you shoot my PPQ as much as you want. I have to find another one. My wife loves it so much she is gonna confiscate it :/
