The 5th Annual KRRC Silencer Shoot is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 18th, 2015 from 2pm to 6pm. Location is the Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club at 4900 Seabeck Highway NW, Bremerton, WA 98312. It will be run the same as the 2014 shoot with the rifle line restricted to suppressed firearms and the pistol line open for any handguns or rim fire rifles. If we need the room we will use one or more of the action pistol bays. KRRC members and anyone bringing a suppressed firearm, SBR or other NFA firearm attends for free. All others pay the usual $15 to attend. It is the wide variety of privately owned firearms and the manufacturers who really make this event come alive.

Last year’s shoot was attended by Silencerco and Thunderbeast Arms; they each brought about 12 suppressed firearms and ammo for use by the public. I also brought several suppressed firearms and ammo. I’m hoping to have both of them back this year along with Wynakos Machine from Monroe and AAC, both of whom expressed interest in attending last year. Firearms available for public use included those in 22lr, 223, 308, 338 mag, 510/338 Whisper and 300 Blackout. We can look forward to the same variety this year.

Many people brought their own ammunition so we did not run out. I put some of my cans on hosts that people brought to the shoot including a Mosin Nagant rifle.

We will have many metal targets to shoot including falling plates for pistol and rifles. No steel core ammo allowed on the plates though.

Passage of I-594 and its amendment of RCW.9.41 will have little effect on the event. RCW 9.41.113: Firearm sales or transfers
(4) This section does not apply to:

(f) The temporary transfer of a firearm (i) between spouses or domestic partners; (ii) if the temporary transfer occurs, and the firearm is kept at all times, at an established shooting range authorized by the governing body of the jurisdiction in which such range is located; …. (iv) to a person who is under eighteen years of age for lawful hunting, sporting, or educational purposes while under the direct supervision and control of a responsible adult who is not prohibited from possessing firearms;
The firearms made available to the public are kept on the range at all times for this event. Parents must supervise their children while at the range as is normally required.

If anyone has any suggestions or is a manufacturer/dealer and wants to attend, please let me know. Thank you.

The 2016 KRRC silencer shoot is canceled due to a court order prohibiting shooting at the KRRC. I will try to schedule something after we are able to shoot again.

There is a silencer shoot at the Renton Fish and Game Club on August 22nd. RFGC
