Just a FYI, the North Fork Gravel Pit near Deming is open for business. You'll need a Discover Pass to drive onto the DNR land. The place is pretty clean too! PM me if you want to go do a quick draw competition, I'm available most weekends.

That is awesome, thanks for the update. The wife and I will be headed up that way in a month or so for some get out of town time and that would make a nice excursion.

Update 05/31/2015

So I went out there again. You can't see from my original pics but the place is covered in old shotgun casings, kinda sad. Still a fun place to shoot, I honed my quick draw and shooting from the hip! Sad times for Osama, or anyone within 200yds of my AR.

Fri 6/26

I'm headed out there this morning. I'll get there around 10:00, shoot for a couple of hours and get out of there before it gets too hot.

Excited to try out the changes to my CZ Scorpion.

North Fork Gravel pit is ok as long as you or maybe one other shooters are there.Talked to WDFW and they hand out tickets to anyone shooting anything other then paper or appropriate targets.Too many Boneheads go up there and shoot electronics and leave the place full of trash.We try and take out a Little Garbage when we do go there.Custer sportsman Club is the best place to shoot if you are a serious shooter.And their Archery course at Lake Terrell Is great.

You can shoot there rain or shine........................

Can we get a cleanup and shoot organized for sometime soon?

It would be nice to haul out a good portion of the trash. I'll dump it if we can fill up the back of my truck.
