So what do you guys think about this story? What would you have done if you had been in the tunnel and witnessed the attack? Or, if you were in the shoes of the security guard with an official company policy to "observe and report"?
Clearly there is something to be said for staying out of other peoples' business for your own safety, even more so if your job is on the line. But at what point do you intervene? There are a lot of variables to consider: did the attacker have a weapon, would her friends have jumped in and attacked you if you intervened, did they have weapons, etc...
Personally, I would probably have let them continue fighting and just called the police... up to the point where the one girl was laying on the ground not moving and the other started stomping on her head. A fist fight is one thing, but at that point to me, she was trying to kill the girl on the ground.
