USGI 30 Rnd Mag + Magpul Kit = 29 Rounds?

I purchased a bunch of Magpul Followers, and Ranger kits. Just got them in yesterday.

I also, had a couple Mags that were already upgraded with the Magpul Followers and the Teflon Coated Chrome Springs, minus the ranger kit.

To my surprise, after adding the Ranger kit to those mags, I was left with a 29 round capacity on the mag.

Anyone else run into this? I am guessing that between the slop that the magpul follower and ranger kit takes up, that the spring must also take up just enough to prevent that 30th round from being put in. I've double checked to make sure the ranger lock plate is properly seated and it is.

So if nothing else, this is just an FYI for yah peeps, that if you do a full Magpul rebuild on a USGI 30 round mag, you will most likely be down 1 less zombie per clip.

I thought they also recomended only loading 28 to feed best.
