I own the .40 and it works great. I like that it's easy to use (got it for my wife), it chews through reloads that my pistol wouldn't, and anything happens, Hi Point takes care of you, no questions asked. Lot of people have bad things to say, and a lot of people have never touched one, they just figure, if it's cheap, it must suck.

I've heard good/bad reviews about them, but regardless, a lifetime warranty with no questions asked is damn good business in my opinion, in the essence that they stand behind their product through and through.

I was on their website and believe that I saw it there for about $180+/- a few dollars. You can order it off their site and have it shipped to an FFL that's local to you, and save a few dollars since you won't have to pay taxes I believe on the firearm.

I had the 9mm version for awhile. I experienced a bunch of jams with it, but I got ahold of a new magazine and that turned out to be the problem. I have since sold it, but only cause I didn't like the way it handle, just a personal preference thing. As said above you should be able to get it quite a bit cheaper than $220. Ive seen them at the Gun shows for around $160-$180.

Yes you could find em cheaper. When I was a kid (teen) I had the 9 and it was fun for just effing around putting holes in random empty containers. Dont expect much and you will be pleasantly suprised.
