my new (old) toy

i picked up a new Mosin Nagant 91/30 from a friend last night,
i know its old, but new to me. nearly new looking except the shellac needs touched up.
only basic marks on it from a long life of safequeenitis.

and no, a car wont stop a round lol!
this is 3/4" steel at 500 meters.

nice example, careful buying hardware store shellac, it has a short shelf life (may not set and the color won't match). Try and find some flake shellac, "garnet" is the color, or just leave it alone, it adds character.
