training

I am trained, but it is different bringing the spouse up to speed. She is doing well, and is comfortable with the 2 weapons she will have available, but I am open to suggestions on the best place to look for info.

Right now we are just spending time on the range, taking advantage of Champions 'Ladies shoot free w/paying customer' Tuesdays. She is working on hand strength, and had no issues today.

Training classes, locations, books or what worked best for you to get your S/O competent??

Training spouses is a whole different deal, doesn't matter how competent you are, wives don't usually learn well from husbands. (there are always exceptions of course)

Another instructor and I will be offering one or two more "Defensive Pistol Skills" classes later this year. It's not scheduled yet but likely we'll offer one in April.

Anyway you can check out the class description here. Let me know if you're interested and I'll shoot you the link once the class is set up.

Lots of classes - some designed just for women. They even have a women's shooting league so ladies can stay fresh on their skills and get better without having to pay for an entire shooting package.

She appreciated the article on trigger discipline you had here on the board earlier, so we may look into this.
