If you listen to the DA he says "In my opinion this was bla bla bla..."

He doesn't say "according to NYC law this was BLa Bla Bla..."

******* preposterous. I think we need to start finding VERY hight powered Pro 2A lawyers. Or get the NRA to back the little guy.. start hitting the cities/states where it hurts them.

I'd like to see this guy get a 2-4mil settlement for defamation of character, false charges, invasion of privacy.. etc etc..

New York is really getting heavy on the anti gun stuff. Let NY do it and watch their crime rates sky rocket. Thankfully most of the US is not completely retarded!

The guy used to be an FFL dealer he let his license lapse and was still in business.

The guy is working on firearms for other people I would assume for a profit Without the proper FFL license.

In NY you must have your handguns registered. His were not.

The guy broke the law. PERIOD

I didn't read or see anything about him ever being an FFL. Where did you pull that out of your ass?

How the hell are you so sure he broke any law. PERIOD

Are you somehow previe to the facts in an ongoing case?

My take was.. he was a gunsmith.. working on guns in his own home, and had been for MANY years.

It said he let is 'liscense' expire, but if your not shipping guns in and out of state you wouldn't be required (at least in WA) to have a FFL. He may have had a liscense to be a official gunsmith.. but let it lapse. My dad has been a gunsmith for WELL over 40 yrs and never had a FFL, or been officially licensed.. He works on his own guns and buddies guns.. (and mine) but has never been formally trained.

IF your required to have pistols registered in NY that could be a problem for him..
I don't know if all the weapons confiscated were his, or customers.

For me the bottom line is.. the witch hunt has begun.

If a guy has been working on and collecting guns for 15 yrs without incident and is suddenly raided by police and ******* nosey neighbors, we're all subject to the same bullshit if our state decides to start passing and enforcing bullshit laws.

Just let the liberals have the east coast, its much easier to quarantine stupidity when there all in one location

Perhaps Alcatraz and Gitmo would be sufficient. It would be tragic to completely relinquish the original 13 to those whom they were established to be free of.

Valid point, just treat them like a diseased hand, cut it off and burn it. I'm ex military and I'm glad I'm not fighting to preserve this fascist government! I love my country but hate these anti gun politicians in Washington.

Per FEDERAL law, you have to have an FFL in order to do gun smithing for money.

It's a fairly trivial federal process, but your local community can make it rough with zoning laws etc. And the federal permits aren't cheap.
