that title is sure to get your attention!

so first i went to the range a couple years ago, just to get the experience of shooting a gun...then went again...and again...then started messing with my dads super old 70 dollar mosin nagant...next thing you know, i have an AR 15 and a taurus pt92 on order and havent even received it yet and im already lookin at a 20ga shotgun for small birds, and a 17hmr for varmints....will i ever have enough guns to where im satisfied?

oh...and i kind of want one of these

Rossi 45 Colt Lever Action w/20" Round Stainless Barrel/Waln for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $424.00

.......ever since i got into guns my motorcycle has seen less and less riding time because if i go anywhere far away, instead of taking the bike, my excuse for taking the car is that i just HAVE TO carry my AR and mosin...who knows when ill have to fend off zombies or aliens? better safe than sorry :top:

this is kind of a rant thread sorry, what gun are you getting next and why that particular model/caliber?

i already have 2 12 gauge shotguns and dont really want to buy another one...kinda want a 10 gauge for the hell of it but i dont know if i need to kill 5 deer at a time or break my collar bone

i want to try my luck at small game birds...besides ducks

honestly, I'd recommend a 12 for all birds for one simple reason:

it's much easier to find good game shot for a 12 than a 20.

deer? 10 gauge? mmkay...

unless you are wing shooting geese, there's no need for a 10, and there's still no need for a 10 even wing shooting geese.

Do 'Golfers' have or use the same club? Or, set of clubs?
Noooooo! They got lotz of'em! You NEED different models and sizes for different task's!

Just ask 'Tiger'!
Don't you need a 12ga. Mossy 500 series with a 8 round cap. for the house?
This is where the 'Jedi' mind control' works well!

agreed.

but you can use the same golf ball, regardless of club.

you don't need a specially sized ball for the putter.

there are lots of 12 gauge shotguns in whatever configuration you want, but coming from someone who has done the hunt for ammo, I spend more time hunting for bird ammo than I spent hunting birds with my 20 gauge.

an 870 or a 500 in 12 gauge with various barrels and stocks will serve your every shotgunning need, ever.

and get a 3.5" chamber, or you're a girl.

Yup.. 3.5 magnum rounds are more than enough to take out anything, including my will to shoot more than 1 or 2.

That's true as well. One of my bird hunting buddies shoots a 20, and he's constanly talking about how much better he does when he uses a 12. My 870 has taken many deer and upland game. Only reason i would consider getting another 12 ga is to get a semi auto. Those damn quail tend to fly faster than I can pump in new shells. :)

Hhhhhmmmm I missed this part before. Well I dont usually plan guns, mostly they just happen. I really need to do some more accessorizing but I can never pass up a deal.

I have 1 silencer that is at the dealer that I just sent the paperwork off on a few days ago, but it is all paid for. I have another silencer on its way to the dealer. It is paid for but I sill have to pay the Transfer tax $200 and the dealer fee $50 when it comes in.

I would really like to get a IMI Galil ARM in .308 soonish. With the economy down right now I have seen some amazing prices on these but I wont have spare cash for that large of a purchase for a couple more months. Then the next project would be to find a couple more mags for it.

Next semi planned gun is to get to building my AR-10 in .243 that I have been planning for about 1.5 years now and have the receiver sitting in the safe waiting. I have a 10/22 that I stole some parts out of for another 10/22 build that I need to replace. There is a guy on the rimfire boards that has a M1A SOCOM clone built on a 10/22 that I think I am going to have to copy but I have another spare 10/22 in the safe so it wont cost too much. I have a complete AR lower in the safe that needs some kind of upper but I dont know what caliber next as I have 5 different calibers now.

Who knows what I will stumble on next that I cant pass up though. Problem is I really need another safe next

NOT TRUE.

But if you add a 930 or 935 to the 500 then you got every shotgunning need filled. There is just something about letting off 5 12 gauge rounds in a second.

Only 5rds/second then that gives me 4 seconds of sustained firepower

I do better with my 20 (ask the guys I shoot with, I really do) if I can find ammo.

NOT TRUE.

I said needs, but actually meant needs.

a semi-auto is fine.

but you can't beat a nice double barrel either.

both of those are wants.

*and I'm not much slower than semi's when I rack my 870
