Does anyone shoot 5.45x39 with AK's or AR's? Is this ammo going to dry up or still be available? Currently it is a cost effective substitute for 5.56x45. I only ask because I am considering a S&W 5.45x39 upper, but if the ammo is going to disappear it wouldn't be a worthy investment.

Also it's my understanding that most of this ammo is non reloadable, is this correct?

Yeah its typical ak-74 ammo, its definetly cheaper now but used to cost more. I get all mine from sportsmanguide. If its steal case its not reloadable cuz there berdan primed rather than boxer
