I'm thinking of picking one up here in a few weeks, Who has the best deal on them ?
my local shop wants $659+tax
I don't care where i have to drive to on the wet side as long as i get a better price.

I would suggest checking to see if any of your local ACE hardware stores have a sporting goods dept. We have three local ACE's that regularly have some of the best prices on firearms.

Brightwater Ventures in Vancouver, WA has them new as cheap as anywhere. They had a XDm .45 ACP for $609 I know the 9mm was cheaper then that. Gas to drive down might offset the cost though.

Well, I would go to Federal Way Discount Guns, They always seem to have the best prices around. I picked up my Standard XD9 there for $429 I believe which was about $100 bucks cheaper than any of the local shops, out the door it was around 480ish.. I would call them before driving all over.

I see you already did the crayon mod... looks great...

if you're up to it, polishing the trigger does help a bit...

I put a pearce grip (modified) on mine and it works great...

if you go with night sights, I know federal way guns will install them for free if you bought the gun from them and buy the sights from them... verify with Moe (the owner) though but that's what he's told me...

i've been meaning to have NS installed on mine but just never got around to doing so...

I'm glad you found what you were looking for... it's a good gun...

Nice! I have an XDm9 and XD SC9, and have to admit when they came out with the XDm compact, I was a little jealous!

Let us know how it shoots, though I'm sure it will shoot great, all my XDs do. :)
