Okay, what's the best IWB holster for concealment out there? I know you guys are gonna laugh at this but I use an Uncle Mike's IWB nylon holster for my Ruger p89. You might be right to laugh because I've heard horror stories about guns slipping out and into view. I pay close attention to my sidearm but fear it may one day just happen and someone's going to freak and I'm off to jail, possibly lose my permit.

I've heard of FIST, The Holster Store, and others that make a better model for less than $75. But quite frankly, I've been burned lately on Internet purchases and hope someone may know of a local outfit where I can find one.

I've carried my P89 for a lot of years now and really comfortable with it, so I'm not really interested in a replacement pistol. Maybe later, I'll buy another but it certainly won't replace my P89.

thoughts?

I love, love love love, love love my tuckable IWB holster from Cleveland's Holsters. They've only just started getting sold in stores, and I don't think anyone local has them, but they're awesome and a good deal on price. He's had a couple of retail orders so he's a little slow on the wait-time, but I've been using one for about 8 months and it's held up very well.
I, personally, prefer this to the crossbreeds. You won't be disappointed if you get one.

I've been wondering the same thing for my USP .40, I'm becoming less and less fond of my shoulder holster with time, but I'm worried that an IWB will be super awkward because of the weapon's size. Have you guys carried a bulky pistol on the hip with any success?

I love my Crossbreed Supertuck. Crossbreed also makes belts and mag pouches. They are leather backed with a kydex mold to fit each model of gun perfectly but still be comfortable. If you get the velcro clips to go with it, and have a belt with velcro on the back, it is virtually undetectable.

Great holster, great customer service. A little more expensive than an uncl mike's, but it is worth it.

I have yet to try the Supertuck (I've heard nothing but good things about them) but recently got a N82 Tactical Professional. Without a doubt it's the most comfortable IWB holster I've used.

I think the Supertuck setup of two clips would be more ideal for me though. I find the N82 turns a bit as I move around during the day. It's nothing major, but just something I notice. That being said, it's adjustable and is way comfortable.

As for a retention system, it doesn't use a button or anything like that. It requires the smallest of clockwise twists to release the weapon. It's not significant but due to the extra girth I carry around, it doesn't make for the easiest of draws (for me). I want to practice with it though as I'm comparing it to my BladeTech OWB, which is super fast...

Used a Skyops for awhile and is kinda lukewarm about it. Just picked up, and am breaking in, a King Tuk. The difference is night and day.

Also, some of the nicest holsters on the planet are made right in Tacoma
