No. I love sigs but this is in the same price range as a colt or good springer and both companies know the 1911. Couple that with the sigs slide making holster selection more difficult and I just can't justify it

yeah.. I have always had my eye open for a springy operator with the full rail.

I dunno why they quit making them?

They were the only ones going full rail. Maybe it was holsters, maybe it just didn't look traditional but it didn't sell. The old 1911 crowd are traditionalists and many thought rails were blasphemy (like sig purists) if it had come out now that the 1911 iscool again it could get some traction

I own a sig 1911 ultra compact for carry, I love it, use a standard galco king tuk holster for 1911's works great. I actually wanted the external extractor, no feeding or extracting issues. The crazy part is when I range tested it I compared it to my 5" sig 220 dark elite, and my grouping was better with the 3" compact weird. Anyhow I love my sig 1911. When I bought mine I only paid 799.00 and that was with the siglight night sights, so quite a bit less than similar setup kimbers and colts.
