What are the state laws regarding having a 22 with a suppressed range can?

If I understand it right, in Washington you can own & posses a suppressor, you just can't use it! You can take it to Idaho or Oregon to use it! Stupid Washington!

+1

There is a bill before the WA legislature to ammend the laws that would allow firing. Currently, there is no exemption foe LEO's to fire suppressed weps. Fix it for the cops, fix it for me. :hello:

Yeah just to be safe, I wouldn't even pull it out in public - especially not at a range.

You have to keep a copy of your classIII paperwork with the can at all times to prove legal ownership. You cannot discharge a weapon with a contrivance to suppress or silence the sound.

That said, I may or may not have fired a suppressor or 4 in WA.....:tard:

I have a laminated and reduced copy of the form 4 (tax stamp paperwork) in each of my range bags and carry another micro-copy (business card copy of an 8.5x11) in my wallet. I got that idea froma class 3 forum. One guy posted a redacted pic of his micro-ccopy and someone else asked if he could read it. The reply was something to the gist of... it's a tax form, I don't have to be able to read it. That's on thecop that asks to see it.

I have 3 ranges within about 30 minutes... in Idaho.

So lemme get this straight... it's perfectly legal to own a suppressor in WA, but illegal to actually use it?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. :tard:

That's what happens when a state doesn't like a federal law. The feds say you can own a suppresor, but the state doesn't like it. So they pass a law saying you can't use it, even though it's legal to buy. Sneaky bastards.

Actually they could just outlaw ownership as well, like they do currently with SBRs and Automatics. They are legal to posess federally, but not at all in WA.
