I can't hear the audio but it looked like a good shoot. Guy appears to step forward, armed and gets shot. He's uphill armed with knives, if he charges the cops have no retreat option....you can't move downhill fast enough to avoid him while defending yourself.

They shoot until he is down. - still ok. The decision to shoot has been made and as the first rounds impact, The officer starts to engage again as the subject turns away but stopping that reaction instantly is impossible. Your mind has already sent the order to your trigger finger. Action beats reaction. This is fairly common in SD shootings.

Some people have said the guy was surrendering but I don't see anything in his actions that indicate that. He was still holding at least one knife when they cuffed him.
