The Tacoma City Council unanimously approved the change Tuesday, closing the so-called gun-show loophole for events using city space.

I am pretty sure they are violating state preemption. And how is it possible there was noone there to speak against this? Maybe because they didn't announce or publicise the vote at all because they didn't want anyone there to speak against it?
What do you guys think? Will they get away with it, and who can file a lawsiut to repeal their little rule?
