Holster Recommendations

So I know this topic has been talked about, and I read through some of the old threads, but I couldn't find what exactly I was looking for.

I'm looking for an IWB holster that is designed for the small of the back.
I will be carrying an XDM 9mm.

Thanks for any advise guys

I carry a full size 1911 IWB in a Galco Summer Comfort series. Looks kinda like this, but for a 1911, obviously.

It's comfortable, and with a wide belt it holds steady. Got it for about $50.

Oh, mine has a little more forward cant than the one in the pic.

I checked out Galco but they dont seem to have much at all for the XDM. I think I'll shoot them a call to see if maybe they have something that they dont have listed on the site yet.
So far Tennessee Holster Company seems like the way I might go.

I found a thread on another forum that said a guy was using the Galco Summer Comfort for an XD with his XDM. Said the gun sticks out the bottom about 1/2", but it hold securely.

Or look here: IWB/Concealment Holsters at Gunners Alley

Any xd holster should work. The xd-m is only different in the barrel (matched) and the grip. Other then that it's identicle to the tacticle model (5 inch barrel) just make sure to get one for the calibur your packing. I.e dont get a 9mm if your rocking a .45

I've carried with an IWB, and I didn't like it. If you dont wear a t shirt under your shirt, the pistol picks up sweat in the summer and rusts. It also chafes the small of your back and the top of your ass. Lol.. Sounds stupid, but it gets pretty uncomfortable. I switched to a Galco belt holster for the small of my back and haven't looked back. Great holster for my Ruger .45.

i don't think that can happen with the crossbreed. i don't wear an under shirt, and the holster keeps all metal parts of the weapon off of my skin, while still remaining comfortable. the only discomfort i notice is sitting in certain chairs presses the grip into my side/back.

If the holster is inside your waistband and using tension from your belt to hold the weapon to the small of your back, how exactly is it not on your skin?

it doesn't use tension to hold the weapon against you.

Yeah that is by far the ugliest holster I have seen lol. I'm a pretty skinny guy (28 inch waist and 115lbs) and I can conceal my xd with a blackhawk paddel style holster. You just have to remember that when shopping, while concealing that maybe a one size bigger or a over coat is your best friend.

you are skinny. i got a 30" waist...but 160 lbs. any skinnier and i don't think the super tuck would fit well. I can wear pants my normal size pants and the xd tucks in just fine. hides it pretty well under a normal fit t-shirt too
