New to hunting

Hey all Im new to this forum. I come from a family which did not have firearms of any sort. In the past few years I have picked up shooting and would love to learn to hunt as well. If any of you have been in this situation before and know where a good place to start would be please let me know!

Take a hunters safety course, join a shooting range and make some friends there. Start with shooting clays, so you can bird hunt. Volunteer to be the camp cook.

Get a .22 rifle, and hunt squirrels. That will teach you a lot of important lessons about being quiet, observing your environment, using the wind, etc..
