Hey, I picked myself a new a .22 last week, and after shooting it with iron sights, I've decided that I need a scope. Any ideas for CHEEEEAAAAAAAAP scopes? What do I look for? Where do I look? And I'm talking less than 50 bucks here... |

A good starting point for any scope, regardless of price, is focal distance. Are you wanting a 3x9, 4x12, etc...? Once you've got that squared away, the search for a bargain can begin. |

20mm objective is pretty small. Won't let in much light. Cheap variable scopes also change their zero as magnification is changed.... |

I picked up a Nikon 3-9x40 from Wallmart for my 10/22. It works great, and was under $150. Based on some of the reviews on AR15.com, it's a pretty good bargain. I wouldn't go any cheaper.

I put a Nikon prostaff on my bolt .223, keeps zero, and accurate while shooting. Lets more light in than my brothers leuopold! With the BDC its a bargain IMO! I have a simmons on my mini14, I want to get rid of it. |
