I live in Washington and have a concealed carry permit. I have a couple questions. Can I buy a revolver in Oregon? How long is the wait? Any hassles? Anyone know any Cimarron dealers in Portland? Where would be a cheap place to order from? Thanks |

You can not buy a pistol in another state from a FFL holder (gun dealer) and take it home with you. You have to have it shipped to a dealer in Washington and then go threw the normal transfer paperwork and pay whatever fee the FFL holder charges for the transfer.

Nope.... just as Cuervo stated..You can not buy a pistol in another state from a FFL holder (gun dealer) and take it home with you. But check around at gun clubs and forums, lots of good ffl guys, some may only charge ya $5 for the trouble... |

on the plus side, if you do buy a gun in oregon the wait is only about 10 minutes for the background check

He could technically buy a gun in Oregon as long as he had it shipped to an ffl in Washington who would then do his BGC. The ffl would charge a transfer fee and the $10 bgc

Unless it's "the last one in the world available" or some fancy collector's item, why go out of state to purchase a firearm that has hundreds, if not thousands, of the same product right where he lives? | |

I agree. It's just easier (and cheaper) to look locally.
