Broke down and picked this up today for cheap fun at the range.

And I think I remember lots of places folks shot over a browns camp, so toss this in the tail bag and off for a dual sport ride with stops to perforate some milk cartons.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIICEE!!!!

I got this one from my dad for my 22nd birthday. That was 15 years ago!
Thousands of rounds down the pipe, and it's still as fun as it was when I got it.

nice,

the MK III (prefer the ones with the 1911 grip) is pretty high on my list.
I plan on using one of these to teach my son about pistols

Nice. I've had a MK I for over 30 years that must have had at least 50k rounds shot through it that still drives tacks. I picked up a new MK III 2 years ago for the wife who was indifferent with pistols up until this one- this is by far my favorite plinker.

What a fun gun, put a couple hundred rounds through it today without any problems. And everything thing they said about it taking some practice to tear down and reassemble is true.

It can be a stubborn cuss. But I think I've got it figured out.
We will see on the next cleaning.

There are some helpful videos on rugers web site, which can pretty much be summed up, if you are stuck, put the magazine in, then take it out, and try again.
